Just Some of my Favorite Photos (and notsofavorite, but Odd)

Self Portrait of D - I'm not sure what he's going for - Investigator? Studious? Skeptical?
B in his most disgusting face - the twins used to cry when he did this. I think I might cry too.
So this is last year's halloween costume - but I am most proud because of Captain Hook - Doesn't he look just like Dustin Hoffman's Hook just shrunken?
Lelu finishing the Moab 5 miler in 2nd place - under 45 minutes - look at her go!
This week is Thanksgiving. By far it is my most favorite holiday. I love to turn on Christmas music the day before, clean my house and bake rolls & pies. And then I just love to go to movies and hang out with my family - ahhhh, music, food, movies & family - the best holiday ever!
Hope you all enjoy it too.

The Real Birthday Day

Holding their favorite gifts-cuddly pillows-barbie laptop-and below a huge Pirates of the Caribbean Boat "the black pearl"(from D and Lelu). We went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner with Michelle T. which was so nice to see her after her trip to Italy and back to New Mexico. Big B is in Florida at back to back conventions. It was a nice mellow day....and my favorite part: they were all in bed by 8:30.

THE FINAL GAME...a little boohoo and a little woohoo

D is number 27 going in for the tackle - he got the guy in purple on the left. While I was handling the party - D and Big B were at D's playoff game. They lost which was a total bummer for D because it's the last game of the last year he will play football. He could play once more in Little League - but he wants to run track and the seasons overlap. I made it for the second half and snapped a few final photos. But I must say, D is very very very happy to not ever deal with Coach Evil again.

The "Bee Movie" Birthday Party

Boy/Girl twin parties are a problem - I have to invite the same amount of boys & girls - in order to get an even number I had to invite their whole school class and primary class (School - Boys 17 Girls 7) and (Primary - Girls 10 Boys 3) So we had 32 show up to see the Bee Movie. What a fun crowd;) They polarized into the boy row & the girl row - with the boys glued to the movie and the girls wiggly and needed potty breaks. One girl asked to go 3 times until I figured out she was pocketing the peppermints from a bowl on the counter-she must REALLY like them.
I have a new rule: Parties only on even birthdays. I am off the hook for 2 years because they all have evens and odds the same year. WooHoo The photo in the top middle is Kenzie (Cherie's daughter) Ari and Trey (her boyfriend). They start dating younger and younger! I think Kenzie doesn't approve.

The Good News - I Still Have My Hearing!

Lelu & "bff" Morgan got tickets for Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus for their birthday's last August - it sold out in 3 minutes! We were very lucky to get these tickets. So Sharon (Morgan's mom) and I took the girls and literally plugged our ears 90% of the time. Just imagine 20,000+ little girls between 6 and 13 screaming their heads off for an hour and a half. Lelu thought it was awesome and jumped up and down the whole time. All in all, a great first concert for two 10 year olds. And I really hope Miley Cyrus stays wholesome and doesn't go down the Brittany road.

We're Off To See The Wizard.............

I have a lot to post for the last couple weeks, but I'm waiting on some photos of D's big stage performance from the drama teacher. (We videoed, but since I was on my deathbed, I forgot the camera) So coming soon..... "Sludge Slyskull"
Okay, so I live in the past with movie characters - most kids didn't even know who Edward Scissorhands was! How sad! I think it's one of Johnny Depp's best. And yes I had a little say in 3 of the costumes this year. Okay I had all the say in the twins costumes BUT AREN'T THEY THE CUTEST!!! D's was a little persuasion - but all the teenagers at school loved it and what a cool wig to add to our ever expanding collection. Lelu was the hugely popular for all tweens "Hannah Montana" (If you don't know who she is - watch Disney Channel and she's on there like 12 hours a day) So we are loaded up on candy - B originally offered to give them a dollar a piece (not so he could eat it;), but they've each got about 80 pieces. So we may be dipping in to the college funds to prevent future dental costs. Mr. T asked when he gets to pick his own costume and I explained to him that until mom has got her fill of fun that she paid for in NO SLEEP for 18 months taking care of twins - mom gets to choose. I get sooooo much fun out of it. So far we've had "Twin Pumpkins", "A bee & flower", "football player & cheerleader", "Tinkerbell & Captain Hook" and now "Dorothy & The Tin Man". I could go on for years!!!!! I seriously doubt they will accept that excuse much longer :( cry a tear for me.
